Kidepo Valley National Park

Kidepo sits in the northeastern corner of Uganda, hard against the borders of South Sudan and Kenya. It is the country's most remote park and, by most measures, its most beautiful: open Karamojong savannah, the Narus and Kidepo valleys, and a wildlife density that rivals the Serengeti without the crowds. We fly travellers in by light aircraft from Entebbe.

Wildlife and landscape

Cheetah, ostrich, the patas monkey and over 470 bird species. Lion, elephant, buffalo, zebra and giraffe in the valley floors. The light here is unlike anywhere else in Uganda.

Karamoja and the Ik

We build in time with Karamojong communities and, for travellers who want it, a serious walk up Mount Morungole to spend time with the Ik people. Both encounters are arranged through long-standing community partnerships.
